This project started as I was creating a home DVD for my Madeira vacation (I really recommend the fabulous hiking along levadas). I've later recycled it for the GIMPCon DVD.
I wanted to learn a bit more about texture mapping so most of the action is happening as textures. The film countdown animation was also created in blender in a separate scene.
The intro was also cut and post-processed in blender's internal sequence editor. Sound was later finalized in iMovie.
