Holy snap, that’s awesome. >.>
How do you get the dark theme though? I tried gnome-tweak-tool and it’s not there.

The “lights off” theme is something applications need to opt in. Currently it’s being used by Totem, EOG and Boxes.
There are hacks to enable it for everything, but I would be denying everything we stand for in GNOME 3 if I told you
Just google it

Taryn, create a new file or edit if it exists
~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini
put this line in there :
[Settings]
gtk-application-prefer-dark-theme = true

Man, adwaita is turning into something really beautiful. Congratulations. Btw, adwaita dark is the best (and most usable) dark theme on any platform I’ve used.

Thanks, Metin.
Gee Andy, will you spoil everything? Next thing you’re going to be telling everyone how to get Wanda back?

I want finger friendly common apps for tablets and future big touchscreens.
as “Design a self-teaching interface for beginners, and an efficient interface for advanced users, but optimize for intermediates” IS A GOAL
Having a GEDIT version or option to put the MENU BAR as it is the actual launcher, but at the right side of the screen and make EVERY MENU OPTION an ICON and submenues NESTED 3×3 ICONS center ICON to close.
Then if you are using a tablet with GNOME3 and the ICONS menu option you can use menu with your fingers fast as hell. Because “only text” menu is not easy to FINGER touch.
And for mouse use is EASIER to learn an ICON BASED menu than a text one.
Not for me, I can use XFCE and be happy, for a better Gnome3 and G Shell product for the masses.
