The feature additions to blender never seem to stop. This time it’s something really helpful for mesh modelling.
A very common modelling technique is extruding. When using this method, one usually extrudes a face. In blender’s mesh edit mode, however, you work on vertices, so selecting a face ment selecting 3 or four vertices. Not anymore. Blender now has three modes enabling you to work on vertices, edges and faces, making a lot of common tasks a lot faster to achieve.
The functionality is yet to be polished, and there’s already good plans for the natural behaviour.
